Get Something Done Day

We decided that since all 5 of us had been injured by walking into the Boys' Room this past week that it was time to clean it up. Clean sheets, toys put away, got rid of the side rail for Joshua. It looks like a new room. Still haven't painted behind the door, yet. Hint, Hint.

Jacob helped with only a minimal amount of fuss. He is still using his "big words". Joshua went with me to pick up Jacob from Kid's Creek today and Layne's Book of World Records was still in the car. Joshua was looking at it with Jacob when I hear Joshua ask Jacob "what is that?" and then Jacob tells him "Those are her fingernails Joshua, and that is a very disturbing picture. It is just disturbing. Please turn the page."

We all made it to church. We got a couple wake up calls from Grandma. I went to check on the Sunday School Teachers and then made it to the Sanctuary. Sounds like Joshua had a hard time "separating" and Matthew said he could hear him all the way down the hall crying. The Sunday School teachers were Wendy and Tom Gilbert, so I guess he just didn't want to go this morning. Wendy said of course he did eventually settle down - but he had some big tears.

Jacob stayed after for Kid's Creek because he wanted to spend time with Zackary. Layne did not want to stay. She went with me to Kroger and we picked up some groceries, while Matthew headed back home with Joshua.

It has ended up being kind of dreary here today.

We were very excited that Kentucky Basketball was able to eek out the win. Go Wildcats!

And speaking of basketball - here are some shots of Layne's last basketball game from March 6, 2010.

Here she is - first one down the court and ready for Defense.

Here she shows off her Form and Follow Through -

Here she is ready for the Fast Break -

And here she is getting her trophy from her coaches -

The coach said that "with Layne he wasn't sure he was going to get her on the court at first, and then he got worried he wouldn't be able to get her off the court". Yep, that's Layne.

  1. Wow, she looks like she's been playing basketball for 10 years. And, what great photos - love that camera!
