Ick!

Matthew was Dad of the Year tonight and took all 3 kids to the Ocee Elementary Talent Show. One text I got from him was that there were 32 acts, it started at 6:00 p.m. and by 7:00 p.m. they were only on number 12. And it was horribly hot and standing room only in the cafeteria / auditorium.

I got there about 7:30 p.m. and the kids were actually ready to leave. So they each got to pick one book at the Scholastic Book Fair and we headed over to Grandma and Papa Jack's. Jacob and Layne do not have school tomorrow and they asked to spend the night. They only had some snacks at the talent show so Grandma put a cheese pizza in the oven for the kids when we got there. Matthew and I were ready to go about 8:30 because Joshua needed to get to bed - and then Joshua got his really sad face and said "but I didn't get to eat". The pizza wasn't even out of the oven at that point.

Papa Jack caved and told Joshua he could spend the night too. (although I think dad was really trying to help me out - still having a hard time holding it together today - thanks!)

I asked Grandma if she had clothes for Joshua and she said "I think so". And then Jacob comes out with "But are you confident Grandma?". It did get a laugh. So Grandma went to go check and she did have clothes and she was Confident.

So all 3 kids are at Grandma and Papa Jack's for the night. Layne has planned their meals. They are having cheese pizza tonight, pancakes for breakfast, and macaroni and cheese for lunch. They both want to go see Alice in Wonderland and it is only rated PG and Grandma wants to go see it (go figure!) so sounds like they may get to see it tomorrow.

I need some decisions about moving forward with our finances. Really hard day for me. First real panic attack this morning in a long while. We have been in limbo about as long as I can handle I think. Hopefully we will have some answers soon.

Here are some pictures from the Blue and Gold Banquet February 28,2010 for Jacob's Boy Scout Pack. He had a good time.

Here is Jacob waiting very patiently for his Door Prize.

Here is his Den Leader, Neil Boyer.

And the Happy Family.
